ONE Championship is heading to Cambodia in December for “ONE Championship 34: Kingdom of Khmer,” officials recently announced.
The event, which streams as an online pay-per-view in North America, takes place Dec. 5 at Koh Pich Theatre in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
In the headliner, Hawaiian lightweight Lowen Tynanes (7-0) meets Russian prospect and promotional newcomer Rasul Yakhyaev (9-2).
Tynanes, 25, fights for the fourth time under the ONE Championship banner, where he most recently scored a decision victory over Kuat Khamitov. The fighter, who’s also competed for KOTC, now meets well-rounded Yakhyaev, who’s won two straight and six of his past seven. He’s posted seven stoppages in nine career wins and most recently scored a TKO win over Rekardo de Silva (0-2).
In the co-headliner, Thai flyweight Anatpong Bunrad (5-1), who’s posted back-to-back ONE Championship wins over Marc Marcellinus and Geje Eustaquio, meets Japanese vet Asuka Mikami (12-3-2) rebounded from a ONE Championship title loss to Asuka Mikami with a decision victory over Eugene Toquero this past month.
